gonadotroph adenoma, gonadotroph cell adenoma a rare type of pituitary adenoma made up of gonadotroph-like cells that secrete excessive amounts of follicle-stimulating hormone or luteinizing hormone, or both; it may cause precocious puberty, visual disturbances, or hypogonadism.
