Fatty acid thiokinase (long-chain), a ligase forming acyl-CoA, AMP, and pyrophosphate from long-chain fatty acid s, ATP, and coenzyme A. SYN: acyl-activating enzyme (1), dodecanoyl-CoA synthetase.
