presentation of the buttocks of the fetus in labor, with the feet alongside the buttocks, the thighs flexed upon the fetal abdomen, and the distal lower limbs flexed upon the thighs; the fetus in essence is in the same attitude as in vertex presentation but with polarity reversed.
