crystal-induced chemotactic factor

(CCF) a glycoprotein produced by neutrophils upon ingestion of monosodium urate or calcium pyrophosphate crystals, which is directly chemotactic for neutrophils and is thought to be involved in the inflammatory process in gouty arthritis.
